Yerba Mate: Bombilla/Straw

Yerba Mate easy instructions

1) Pour some yerba mate into your cured gourd.

2) Pour warm water onto some of the yerba mate.

3) Relax until the yerba mate awakens .

4) Put straw into yerba mate.

5) Pour some water and drink.

Insert Bombilla/Straw

Insert filter end of bombilla straw at an angle into the deepest part of the yerba mate.

Bombilla/straw may be used to first pack the yerba mate along side of gourd if yerba mate has fallen.

Leave bombilla/straw alone

Moving bombilla/straw can clog filter.

If bombilla/straw clogs

Use bombilla/straw to re-pack yerba mate as tilted along one side of gourd, then reinsert bombilla/straw.

Optional methods:

Pull bombilla/straw straight out 1/4 of an inch then pushing back down

Or, shake gourd upside down when first adding tea

Or, use a spring end bombilla/straw to eliminate most clogging issues.
